The Ripple Effect

I took these with my iPhone when at Arkabutla Lake in MS. Did I post them already?

Looks good Max! I like the second photo a lot, even more than the first one! :)

Thanks Jen. :) I got a bunch of photos like that with my XS but like some of my iPhone pics better because of the composition; the strip of land with with trees you can see on the horizon is too bright and kind of ruins those photos. I do like the deep blue of the water though.

I like both the second and third photos the best. I'm not sure which is my favorite though... What kind of editing did you do to the third?

Thank you Riah. :)
It was a vintage edit I did with the Snapseed iPhone app (which I used for #1 as well); I don't remember but the second might be SOOC.

Do you compose more naturally with your phone then? Hm... maybe you should try just letting your mind wander with your camera and not concentrating so much... my best shots tend to be the ones where I'm just excited by what I see on the other side of the lens and snap without thought. It's hard to get into that state of mind, for me at least.

I'm not sure; you can see the part of land in these as well...but I don't think I got any photos like the first one here with my camera, so I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fact I was using my 10-22mm, which I use for landscapes, car photos, some portraits and other things if I want a wide angle shot.
Thanks for the idea; I should try that. :)
