In the City

Right now I am in Chicago at a Homewood Suites hotel (fast, free WiFi - yes! Broken laptop power supply - noooo!), and I'm writing on my iPhone yet again Although I've yet to visit anywhere downtown, I've seen the Sears Tower and walked around in a park/forest preserve where I got a few photos. That park had so many mosquitoes...in one part I had numerous attack me (including some who bit me through my shirt), and although I got a few, there were way too many to kill, so I departed rather quickly from that path.
Later, what looked like a mosquito landed on my arm, but if it was a skeeter, it was the biggest one I have ever seen: it was around an inch-and-a-half long and about the same in height. I didn't try to figure out if it really was a giant, mutant mosquito or just something harmless that looked like one; I brushed it off as quickly as possible. I daresay getting stuck by its nose (if that's what it was) would have been quite unpleasant.
Now that my cousin's boot camp is done (it happened yesterday), we've just been hanging out at the hotel...my siblings have been in the pool a lot (and I did last night as well - gasp!). Now we're about to get some famous Chicago deep dish pizza - hooray! By the way, what do you think of the new Blogger interface?
Unfortunately, I dropped my iPhone on a hard surface for the first time yesterday (I'd dropped it multiple times before, but not onto concrete), and it has a scratch/nick now. At least it still works fine, and the scuff isn't very big. I really need to get a case for it before I really damage my phone.

I love the new interface, myself! :DDD And I'm super jealous about the pizza. I'm so hungry.

I think I like the new interface as well. I'm sure the pizza will be good, Bleah. :D

Broken laptop power supply? No fun.
Now what is with the "and I did last night as well - gasp!"? Do you not like pools?
Oh, and I like the new interface.

Ok, I just read the extended version and what landed on your arm sounds like a crane fly and it's perfectly harmless. It looks like a mosquito, but it wont even bite. Now, I'm not an expert on Chicago bugs, so I may be wrong...

Right now it's working, but I'm afraid to move it because it'll almost certainly stop charging my netbook. Yes, I generally find pools, the ocean, and other bodies of water fairly boring unless there's someone I want to meet and talk to in the water...and that doesn't happen often. My siblings had fun playing for hours in the pool with a girl we met here named Alexandra - she's only twelve but seems like she's around 14 or 15 since she's nearly as tall as I am and acts older than I'd expect from a twelve-year-old. Her oldest sister is my age but didn't swim in the pool, so it was just the one girl by herself and my siblings, but she was nice and liked to play with them, so that worked out well.
(now why did I add that but of unimportant information?)

You're more than likely correct; I was just like "Whoa, there is no way...I've got a giant mosquito on my arm that's about to drain my entire blood supply!!!" I guess that's what you call a mistaken overreaction. :P
Too bad; it would be much more interesting if it was a gigantic mosquito.

It's okay, random bits of information are fine with me :) We're supposed to be blogger friends right? Well friends tell each other random, meaningless stuff all the time. I know Lys and I do - of course, we may also be really weird :)
I really don't know if I'd find "bodies of water rather boring" or not. I don't swim - or rather, I don't anymore. I used to when I was little, but I haven't in about 13 years and no longer know how. I probably shouldn't get on a boat until I re-learn, huh?
It would have been interesting had it been a mutant mosquito :) And maybe I'm wrong, maybe Chicago has gigantic, mutant mosquitoes. I had a sister accidentally eat a crane fly once. It flew in her ice cream and she didn't know it. It was pretty funny!

Yeah, I guess you're right.
Well, I've never been a strong swimmer, so I doubt I'd last long if I got knocked overboard without a flotation device. Haha, that's pretty funny. :)
