Life Goes On As Usual + a Photo for Friday

Not much out of the ordinary has been happening recently (in my life), unless you consider having car problems and having a sore throat out of the ordinary. My car feels like a shopping cart with a broken wheel (you know, a thump, thump, thump, as you push it) but I can't see anything wrong with the tires, wheels, etc. I'm hoping my dad will be able to make it back from work soon so he can help me figure out what the problem is.
I had a coupon for a free dip at Ruby Tuesday, and I was going to go get it and a strawberry lemonade or some other drink, but I'm not going to risk messing up my car because I keep driving it when it's having problems...that happened once before and I don't plan on repeating it.

Update: the problem didn't seem to really manifest itself when my dad and I took my car for a troubleshooting test drive, so I may be going to Ruby Tuesday after all. :)

Update #2: I just noticed that the coupon expires on March 30. *sigh*

Update #3: My mom said to check my e-mail for another coupon, since she had two, and I do have another one, which expires on April 4! So I think I'll take my sister (the older one) tomorrow.

Update #4: I think what I thought was a problem with my car was just bumps in the road...odd.
So that's good. I've been missing my Sansa earbuds for a couple of days now, which doesn't make me happy, since they're fairly comfortable. Before, when I was missing my Zune earbuds, I didn't mind as much since they're not as "eargonomic" (I know, I'm trying too hard here). Anyway, I thought I'd lost lost my Zune earbuds earlier as well, but I found them next to the seat in my car. Now if I can only find my other pair in a packet like I did my Zune earbuds previously. Hm, all these little details are really boring. So why am I still writing? I have no idea.

An other note, here's an photo for a photo challenge I was asked to enter with the theme of "words."
I bet you've seen this signature before. This is a page from a book with a copyright from 1904 I have (it appears to have been a school textbook at the time) called A History of the United States, by Waddy Thompson. Hopefully I'm not violating the copyright. ;-)

Also, I guess I'm supposed to put this button somewhere, so here it is:

Hopefully I haven't become a mass murderer by boring you all to death... ;-)
I hope to have things of more interest to write or post on my blog soon.

Thanks for entering! I love that photo! Thanks for making my fifth entry…finally five! Very creative…love how you focused just on the words "John Hancock". Very nice. I love your sense of humor in your blog :)

Wonderful selective focus in this image!

Hope you feel better soon and can figure out what's wrong with your car.

Kelsey,
You're welcome. Thanks for the compliment. :) I think your blog is humorous as well.

As for following, you can either go to the top of the page, where there should be a bar that has buttons for "Follow", "share", etc., and you can click the follow button there. You can also use the other method of going to your blogger dashboard and under the "blogs I'm following" box, click the "add" button and enter the URL of the blog you want to follow. This works for at least some blog-based websites, blogs without the said bar and "Followers" gadget.

Kala,
Thanks! I'm going to try experimenting with textures soon (I've been reading up on Photoshop tutorials recently) and see how that works out.

My car is doing ok, but my throat could feel a bit better; thank you for the kind words. :)

Any luck on finding the Sana? My headphones are nearly always plugged into my computer or I would've misplaced them half a million times already. I could lose anything. But I usually lose things when I tidy up my clutter and can't figure out where I put anything. I don't like big messes, but a little messiness seems more comfortable...like my room isn't holding me to some crazy neat-freak standard. ;)

I usually hate earbuds but I'm going to have to get use to them since I'm gonna buy my first ipod sometime soon.

Anyways, have a great Sunday night or Monday morning/afternoon/evening [whenever you read this ;)]

ps: so glad the car trouble wasn't real car trouble. that's never fun.

Ara,
Oops, I meant to write "Sansa." (they're the earbuds that came with my Sansa e280, which is now my brother's)
Nope, they're still lost.

You hate earbuds? Is it just a certain type, like the ones I have that aren't the most uncomfortable, or do you just not like them in general. I've never really liked the big, over-the-head headphones I've tried, due to the fact that my ears get really hot while wearing them. But I haven't many pairs on...

Thanks; you too. :)

Haha, this post wasn't boring at all! I love the picture, and I'm glad your car doesn't have a problem (or at least, not the problem you thought xP). I'm driving around with the heat on, even though it's 70 degrees out, to prevent 'my' car from overheating (the AC doesn't work and the car loves to break down in the summer). So yeah, I can kinda feel your pain. Did you get to go to Ruby Tuesday with your sister? :). And in response to your comment, yeah, I trust my doctor (not all of my doctors, but my main one). And don't worry, I wouldn't think you were crazy! My sister is against them as well, so I get it, even though I don't entirely agree :). Thanks for the well wishes-I'll do my best not to get bogged down! Hope you're doing well :)

Thanks. Ouch; that would probably kill me - it's already getting way too warm for me at a bit above 80 degrees...sleeping will be difficult, I'm thinking, and did I tell you about the prickling feeling I get when I get too hot? I'm not looking forward to the summer...
